In some underdeveloped villages in Wangniudun Town, most of the tap water supply pipe networks currently in use were laid in the 1980s, and the water supply pipe network mainly uses galvanized pipes. Due to the high acidity of rainwater in Dongguan, most of the water pipes have been corroded. Conditions such as "yellow water", "rusty water" and unstable water pressure have been plaguing the daily life of local villagers.

In order to completely improve the water supply status of the underdeveloped villages in the town and improve the quality of water supply, the town organized relevant departments to investigate the water supply status of the underdeveloped villages in the town, and raised 17.363 million yuan to provide funds to Zhouwan, Zhouwu, Hengli and Duwu. In addition, 12 underdeveloped villages have been transformed into the water supply pipe network to effectively improve the drinking water quality of the people in the underdeveloped villages. A total of 37.8 kilometers of main pipelines and 129.8 kilometers of branch pipelines have been transformed. The entire project is expected to be completed by the end of September this year.
